The Watermen's Alliance
The Watermen's Alliance is a dedicated group of ocean enthusiasts and conservationists committed to preserving marine ecosystems and promoting sustainable practices along the California coast. Led by passionate individuals with expertise in marine biology, diving, and environmental advocacy, the Watermen's Alliance plays a crucial role in the Caspar Cove Project. Their efforts focus on restoring the health of coastal habitats, particularly addressing the challenges posed by sea urchin overpopulation and kelp deforestation. Through regular sea urchin removal events and collaborative initiatives with local stakeholders, the Watermen's Alliance strives to safeguard the biodiversity of Caspar Cove and foster a thriving marine environment for generations to come.

Reef Check
Reef Check Organization is a global leader in both temperate and coral reef conservation and research, dedicated to the protection and restoration of these vital marine ecosystems. Reef Check California began kelp forest surveys in 2005, and has since expanded to monitoring kelp forests from Washington to Baja California. Through a network of trained citizen scientists, scientists, and volunteers, Reef Check conducts comprehensive reef health assessments, collecting crucial data on condition and biodiversity. This data drives informed conservation decisions and policy changes to ensure the long-term survival of reef habitat. With a mission to engage communities, raise awareness, and drive action, Reef Check plays a pivotal role in preserving the beauty and biodiversity of our world's underwater treasures.
