Our mission is to provide opportunity for community involvement to help restore balance to kelp forest ecosystems in a targeted location in Northern California by actively and experimentally removing overabundant sea urchins.

Through community engagement and volunteer efforts, we aim to reduce grazing pressure, and thereby promote the recovery of kelp forests and enhancing biodiversity along our coastal waters.

We envision a future where Caspar Cove serves as a beacon of hope for coastal communities, showcasing the positive impact that collective action can have on our oceans.

Through our monthly removal events, we aim to create a ripple effect of change, inspiring others to join us in our mission to protect and preserve marine habitats.
